In her book ‘Oneness vs the 1%’ Dr. Vandana Shiva refers to what she calls the ‘mechanical mind’. The mechanical mind is linear-thinking, profit-driven, and reductionist. The mechanical mind and its materialist, self-centred view of the world pervades our current society.
The fact that more than half of humanity’s wealth is controlled by a handful of billionaires is the result of our inability to evolve beyond the mechanical mind and its mechanistic world view based on separation and exploitation.
The mechanical mind is obsessed with developing new technology but is devoid of the awareness of how that technology may impact the health of the people and the environment.
The mechanical mind prides itself on knowledge and intelligence. We are told that we’re in the ‘information’ age, the age of scientific and intellectual brilliance.
It is ironic then that we are rushing to deploy new technologies without any safety testing, which is the epitome of ignorance and stupidity.
The mechanical mind is obsessed with what it sees as ‘innovation’ but what is really destruction. The current vaccine disaster is an example of this and so is the modern food and agriculture industry – which is presented as being efficient, productive, and necessary for a growing population, when in actual fact it is based on toxic GMOs, harmful chemicals, corporate control of seeds and the oppression of farmers.
5G is no different.
Those who stand to profit from 5G (i.e. the ‘elites’ and the wireless industry) present it as necessary, efficient, and important for our collective future. However, once again, things are not what they are made out to be. The safety of 5G is, just like with GMO produce, completely untested.
Furthermore, there exists a large body of scientific evidence indicating that wireless radiation is not only extremely dangerous but one of the drivers of chronic illness around the world.
Ironically, it is these technologies that are presented as ‘necessary’ for our evolution that may well end up causing our extinction.
Make no mistake, our evolution is not hinged on our ability to develop new technologies or launch a rocket to Mars. Our collective evolution is dependent upon our ability to come together in love and unity and expand our awareness beyond that of the mechanical mind.
The stupidest idea in the history of the world
Before we delve into 5G, the proven harms of EMF, and what the experts are saying about it, it’s important to know that no safety testing has been done on 5G technology.
In a February 2019 US Senate hearing, the wireless industry was forced to admit that they have done no safety studies on 5G, and don’t plan to do any.[1]
Think about that for a second.
Here we have this new technology, which is the latest installment of a technology that has already been proven beyond all doubt to be harmful (more on that soon) and despite this, governments and wireless industries have decided to roll it out all over the world without a single safety test.
This is mind-boggling.
Dr. Martin Pall, professor emeritus of biochemistry and basic medical sciences at Washington State University, said of 5G:
“Putting in tens of millions of 5G antennas without a single biological test of safety has got to be about the stupidest idea anyone has had in the history of the world.”[2]
And he’s absolutely right. Although the global rollout of experimental, gene-altering vaccines is a close second.
What is 5G?
5G stands for fifth-generation wireless communication. The main ‘advantages’ of 5G are increased internet and mobile service speeds. 5G is being touted as ‘necessary’ for handling the increasing number of smart devices, all linked together via the cloud, collectively forming what is known as the ‘internet of things’ (IoT).[3]
5G can operate within three different bands – ‘low’, ‘mid’, and ‘high’.[4] Low and mid-band 5G can provide services over longer distances but with decreased speed. High band 5G employs the use of high-frequency ‘millimetre waves’ (mmWave), which can carry much more information but aren’t able to travel long distances.
High band (mmWave) 5G is more dangerous than lower bands due to the higher frequency and need for greater 5G antenna density. Some experts have said that mmWave 5G technology will rely on antennas being put up every 100 metres or so, hugely increasing our exposure levels.[5]
Furthermore, studies have shown that, despite what industry claims, millimetre waves can penetrate deep into the body, exerting harmful effects.[2][6]
Joel M. Moskowitz, Ph.D., director for the Center for Family and Community Health in the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley wrote an article for Scientific American titled ‘We have no reason to believe 5G is safe’.[7] In that article he notes (emphasis is mine):
“Since 5G is a new technology, there is no research on health effects, so we are ‘flying blind’ to quote a U.S. senator. 5G will … accompany 4G for the near future and possibly over the long term. If there are synergistic effects from simultaneous exposures to multiple types of RFR, our overall risk of harm from RFR may increase substantially. Cancer is not the only risk as there is considerable evidence that RFR causes neurological disorders and reproductive harm, likely due to oxidative stress.”
Experts are calling for the urgent suspension of 5G technology
Over the last few years, there has been an increasing push back on the rollout of 5G technology lead mainly by scientists and doctors who understand the danger 5G poses to the health of the population and the environment.
The EU 5G appeal was launched in 2017 as an urgent appeal to the European Union, urging them to suspend the rollout of 5G due to serious potential health effects from the technology. The appeal to date has received support from hundreds of European scientists and medical doctors.[8]
The International EMF Scientist Appeal is an urgent call to the United Nations and its sub-organizations (the WHO and UNEP) for greater health protection from EMF exposure. The appeal to date has received support from EMF scientists around the world.[9]
The 5G Space Appeal is an urgent appeal to the UN, WHO, EU, and governments around the world to halt the deployment of 5G technology on Earth and in space.[10] The appeal states that:
“The deployment of 5G technology constitutes an experiment on humanity and the environment that is defined as a crime under international law”.
The appeal has received support from over 300,000 scientists, doctors, and citizens around the world.[11]
Serious concerns over 5G and EMFs
1. 5G will lead to a huge increase in INVOLUNTARY exposure to wireless radiation:
High band 5G uses high-frequency ‘millimetre waves’ (mmWave), which are able to carry a lot of information but aren’t able to travel long distances. Because of this, some experts have said that mmWave 5G antennas will have to be put up roughly every 100 metres.[5][12]
This will make it literally impossible to get away from the harmful electromagnetic radiation being emitted.
In a recent interview on The 5G Summit, Dr. Trevor Marshall, a director of the Autoimmunity Research Foundation, estimates that the signal strength coming from 5G towers could be up to 10,000 times stronger than what we are normally exposed to.[5]
This is largely due to the increased proximity to the tower. He goes on to say that even if the power of the new towers is 100 times less than current towers, the level of exposure will still be 100 times what it is now.
Considering that current exposure levels have already been proven harmful, this is truly scary.
If we add on top of this the high levels of EMF that we’re already exposed to in our daily lives from WiFi, 4G, 3G, 2G, and the increasing number of wireless devices (see IoT)[13][14] it’s clear that this is a recipe for absolute disaster.
And it will be if we don’t act.
2. The harmful effects of RF-EMF have already been proven
In a recent study titled ‘Adverse Health Effects of 5G Mobile Networking Technology Under Real-Life Conditions’,[15] scientists present evidence that 5G exposure under normal conditions will not only affect the skin and eyes but will have a host of adverse systemic effects as well.
Dr. Jack Kruse, a respected neurosurgeon, said in an article posted on his website:[16]
“We love when our phone company comes out with a new generation of EMF power (3G to 4G and now to 5G). Without consciously realizing we just put more bullets in a gun that is killing us. Few people regularly engage in Russian roulette daily with a 45 calibre gun, but in today’s world most people do it 20-40 times a day to their own head with their cell phone.”
There is no question that wireless radiation is harmful. There is an ever-growing body of evidence in the form of peer-reviewed, scientific studies that prove this.[17]
These harmful effects include:
Reproductive effects:
EMF exposure has been shown to cause decreased sperm counts and sperm motility in men.18,19 In a 2017 meta-analysis it was found that sperm counts in men have decreased by 50-60% in nearly every technologically advanced country in the world since 1973.[20] This is absolutely staggering and possibly species ending if allowed to continue.
In an interview on The 5G Summit, Dr. Martin Pall points out that Singapore, South Korea, and Macau (three highly technologically advanced countries) have had huge drops in reproduction varying from 11-31%.[21][22]
He predicts that if nothing is done to limit our exposure to EMFs (stopping 5G is crucial here) we are going to face massive population crashes.
Also, prenatal exposure to magnetic fields can almost triple a woman’s risk of having a miscarriage.[23]
Neurological/neuro-psychiatric effects:
A growing body of scientific evidence has linked EMF exposure to neurological disorders such as autism.[17]
Scientific evidence shows that EMFs can cause oxidative stress. One paper states:
“Severe oxidative stress can cause imbalances in reactive oxygen species, which may trigger neurodegeneration”.[24]
There are many widespread complaints in our modern society which have been linked to exposure to EMFs[25], these include:
- Insomnia
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Lack of focus
- Irritability
Cancer:
A 25 million dollar study conducted by the National Toxicology Program (NTP) showed an increase in the incidence of brain and heart cancer in animals exposed to EMFs BELOW the ICNIRP guidelines.[26]
Studies conducted on mobile phone use and brain cancer risk further prove that EMF exposure is carcinogenic.[27]
The International Agency for Research on Cancer, which is a branch of the World Health Organization, classified low and high-frequency electromagnetic fields as “possibly carcinogenic to humans” in 2001 and 2011.[28]
Cardiac effects:
Scientific research shows a link between EMF exposure and cardiac effects such as tachycardia and arrhythmia.[29]
It has been found that tachycardia can be an immediate response to EMFs. This would also explain the increased levels of ‘panic attacks’ in our modern society.[25]
Other cardiac effects include bradycardia, hypo, and hypertension, cardiac pain, and cardiovascular changes.[25]
DNA damage:
There is a substantial body of evidence to suggest that EMFs cause DNA damage. They attack our cellular DNA, which can produce single and double strand breaks and oxidised bases.[25][30]
These DNA changes can lead to mutations and cancer.
Hormonal effects:
Current scientific evidence shows widespread hormonal effects from EMF exposure. Steroid hormone levels drop whereas other hormone levels increase. Neuroendocrine hormones and insulin levels often drop with prolonged EMF exposure.[25]
EMF exposure has also been linked to the shocking rise in cases of diabetes around the world.[31]
Other conditions linked to EMF exposure:
Neurosurgeon Dr. Jack Kruse believes that excessive environmental EMF exposure is the number one risk factor for leaky gut syndrome.[32]
Leaky gut syndrome, otherwise known as increased intestinal permeability, has been linked to the onset of autoimmune disease[33], which has been called a modern-day epidemic[34], as well as inflammatory bowel conditions, chronic fatigue, Alzheimer’s, and autism.
3. Wireless radiation adversely affects animal and plant life
While most of the concern surrounding 5G and the increase in wireless radiation is centred around human health, it is important to understand that EMF is detrimental to animal and plant life as well.
A study titled ‘Electromagnetic Pollution from Phone Masts. Effects on Wildlife’[35] concludes that:
“microwave and radiofrequency pollution constitutes a potential cause for the decline of animal populations and deterioration of health of plants living near phone masts.”
If we allow 5G to be rolled out it’s not only going to wreak havoc on the health of the human population, but it’s going to contribute towards environmental destruction as well.
The harmful effects of 5G on wildlife have already been demonstrated in California, where huge numbers of bees were seen dying off near to 5G antennas.[36]
EMF – the mechanism of harm
Dr. Martin Pall has done a considerable amount of research into the biological effects of EMF exposure.[37] He has found that exposure to EMF greatly increases intracellular calcium levels through activation of the voltage gated calcium channels[38] (structures embedded in the cell membrane that regulate the influx of calcium into our cells).
As these channels open, they allow large amounts of calcium into the cells. Dr. Pall believes that most, if not all, adverse biological effects result from excess intracellular calcium.[25]
Further evidence shows that EMFs inhibit mitochondrial function.[39] Mitochondria are the energy-producing units within our cells. As a result of mitochondrial dysfunction, cells produce less ATP (energy), which can have a system-wide effect, promoting chronic disease, infertility and even lowering intelligence.[40]
EMF ‘safety’ guidelines
Media coverage on 5G technology is mostly limited to industry propaganda with the goal of convincing people that this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Harmful effects are purposely not mentioned and instead, an attempt is made to convince us that this technology is not only necessary (it’s not) but also perfectly safe (wrong again).
In an article on 5G published by My Broadband[47] reference is made to the new ‘safety’ guidelines put out by the ICNIRP (The International Commission on Non‐ Ionizing Radiation Protection) for the protection of humans exposed to radiofrequency radiation.[48] The ICNIRP claim that exposure to 5G frequencies is safe because it is below the guidelines.
The article states:
“The ICNIRPP found there are no adverse effects on human health from radiofrequencies used by mobile technologies, including 5G, if exposure is below the guidelines.”
Sorry to say, but this is a blatant lie.
During an interview on The 5G Summit, Dr. Martin Pall stated that there are at least 14,000 peer-reviewed scientific studies showing adverse effects from EMF at levels below the safety guidelines.[21]
Links have been provided to many of these under ‘further reading’ below. Dr. Pall went on to say that the current safety guidelines are akin to a theory that has not been tested and, in fact, studies show that they fail miserably.
The article failed to mention this fact. Although that shouldn’t come as a surprise considering My Broadband has been publishing deceitful 5G propaganda pieces for quite some time now and with a name like ‘My Broadband’ it’s not hard to guess why.
Expert EMF scientist, Dr. Trevor Marshall, has reiterated that there have been NO safety studies done on the effects of 5G frequencies at the levels we’re going to be exposed to. He goes on to say there have also not been any safety studies done on pulsed signals from 5G or even 4G.[5]
In the FAQ section on its website, the ICNIRP itself admits that there is no single study that can prove the safety of EMF exposure BELOW the guidelines.[48]
Many expert EMF scientists also believe the ICNIRP guidelines do not adequately cover long-term effects, non-thermal effects, effects of low-intensity exposure, and effects on children and pregnant women (who are more vulnerable).[9][25][49]
So then where are these supposed ‘safety guidelines’ coming from? And when drawing up these guidelines, did they forget to consider these 14,000 other studies?
No, the guidelines are intentionally misleading and inadequate.
The ‘safety guidelines’ have been set in place to protect industry and not the health of the population.[8] In other words, telecommunications and wireless industries benefit by profiting from dangerous technology, while the population at large gets sicker and sicker.
In an article written by Dr. Paul Heroux[28], professor of electromagnetic toxicology at McGill University, an expert who is extremely worried about the effects of 5G and EMFs, he states that:
“Aware of the enormous potential of this market [i.e. the wireless industry], engineers managed to have these radiations characterized harmless, through 50 years of sustained efforts, by infiltrating and monopolizing standardization committees.”
It’s important to understand the huge amount of money that the telecommunications and wireless industry is worth.[50] Once this is understood it becomes easy to see how ‘safety guidelines’ and mainstream media can both be manipulated into deceiving the (largely uninformed) public into thinking this technology is good for them.
A review written in 2017 exposes many of the ICNIRP members as having relationships with telecommunications and electric companies.[51]
The above-mentioned review, in describing a meeting at the WHO to discuss EMF safety, also states that:
“During the discussion, the two WHO officials showed little interest to collaborate with the scientists convened at the meeting in spite of the scientific evidence on adverse health effects [of EMFs].”
It goes on to say…
“In view of the huge economic interests built into the ICNIRP guidelines, and several of its expert members’ ties to industry, no doubt this is a large conflict of interest that will seriously undermine not only the credibility of the Monograph on RF radiation but also the credibility of WHO as a protector of world health”.
In 2017, Olga Sheean, a former civil servant and brain tumour survivor, wrote a document titled ‘World Health Organization – Setting the standard for a wireless world of harm’[52] in which she exposes the WHO for blatantly ignoring the biological effects of EMFs, colluding with industry and instituting a web of corruption which has lead to the widespread implementation and ill-regulation of harmful wireless technologies.
The full document can be found under ‘further reading’ below.
The WHO has failed us on multiple accounts, not least with the current COVID-19 debacle.[53] Such blatant incompetence in ensuring safety and wellbeing by an organisation that supposedly stands for ‘world health’ is unacceptable.
